This course is designed to teach you the necessary skills needed to take care of newborns, support, and coach parents as an NCS. From caring and feeding, to learning how to handle common newborn ailments – and even understanding how to support various cultural traditions -- we’ve got you covered.

 The self-paced curriculum includes: 

  • 30 hours of recorded course material (many of our students listen along in the car or when working at night!)
  • Downloadable workbook pages to take notes, plan, and keep as a reference
  • Quizzes and assignments to ensure you are absorbing the necessary information
  • Support from our expert team of mentors in case you get stuck or need help along the way!
This advanced course shows you how to structure your overnight visits to set you up for success. It builds on the foundation that you created in first part, and uses it as a base to help market yourself as a professional NCS.

Are there prerequisites to taking this Course?

No. This "Newborn Care Specialist Training & Certification Program" covers the basics of newborn care and will dive deeper into newborn care, working with families and running a NCS business.


Am I able to certify with this Newborn Care Specialist program?

Yes. this course includes foundational (ANCS) and advanced (CPNCS) Newborn Care Specialist skills and allows for you to certify if you choose.

Once you complete all education and assignments, plus the hour requirements, you will be certified as a Newborn Care Specialist through Summer's Sleep Secrets.

The next step is to apply to be board certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners Program (AADP)

To certify you must:

Am I able to be accredited after completing this program?

Yes, you will have an opportunity to certify as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS).  Once you become certified, you are able to apply with the AADP to be accredited as a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.

Does the Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) Program cover sleep conditioning?

Yes. You will learn about newborn sleep and how to sleep condition/shape infants birth-12 weeks.

Will I learn about running a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) business in the program?

You will gain a basic knowledge of what is required to run a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) business.
